It's no secret for the pass five years Sonic has been pandering to nostalgia it's like every game Sonic is reusing elements from his past like Green Hill, the classic badnik design, Classic Sonic, etc.
Sega we know you miss the 90's, we miss the 90's too, we love the old games as much as the next, but if all you do is look back on your past and continue to celebrate what made you good than your gonna miss out on memories your going to make.
So let's lose the Genesis nostalgia pandering, let's lose Classic Sonic, let's lose Green Hill Zone, and focus on things that'll make Sonic remember for years to come because of what he did today instead of what he did yesterday.

I agree with looking forward to the future, but how is this nostalgia pandering, when Sonic 1991 is the very thing that started the entire Sonicverse. Of course they'll include elements from the Genisis era, so new audiences will find out where it all began.
No such thing as future, if you ignore the past.
